- In fact, usually, they don't have much experience about life, But some at 18 have already experienced so many things about life (harsh life), and have more experience than some 50 yo people,

I think you are referring to people older then 18 right?

First...depends on the person. Maturity levels are different in every person.

Second...an 18 person mostly acts as if they are invincible. That is OK but as you age, you find out that you are not. You get a whole new prospective on life. You see it as a true adult with the experience of aging behind you.

Like I said, each person is different. My son is 18 and one day he is so grown up and mature, then the next time, I think he is a 2 year old again.

Lastly, do not worry about what others think. Be respectful because older people do have experience. Be careful. The world is a big place.

Relatively speaking, 18 is young. But it's not too young to physically have a baby. It's not too young to drive a car. It's not too young to join the army, go to war, and fight for your country. It's not too young to know the difference between right and wrong. You'd expect an 18 year old to understand what he's doing if he decided to car-jack someone. And you'd expect that 18 year old to be tried as an adult and sent to prison- not juvenile detention until...25?

Do 18 year olds have the same insight and amount of life experience as a 35 year old? No. But then again, a 35 year old doesn't have the same wisdom as a 50 year old.

I think because while many 18 yr olds are very intelligent, what makes an adult an adult is experience. Most 18 yr olds don't have too much of that.

I don't know, b/c I'm 18 and I'm in college, living on my own and all. Probably b/c of the "typical" 18 yr old: drink, get piercings/tattoos. but I think its stupid ppl don't consider 18 yrs mature b/c 18 years old are "saving our country from terrorism."
