If you have System Restore enabled and a save point from your first install, then go to Start - Programs - Accessories - System Restore and choose Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time. The other option is if your computer came with a "recovery CD" (or if the manufacturer put a a recovery partition on your hard drive) you can restore it from there and it will be back to the state when you first bought it. Otherwise if you did the installation yourself and made no prior backup image, then you would have to fdisk and delete the partition, reformat, and reinstall Windows XP off the CD, then put the necessary drivers back on.

I use F12.Shut down computer. turn back on while holding down the ctrl and alt keys,at the same time clicking F12.This all has to be done before the pc gets into the start up mold as soon as you turn on start clicking F12. Thia may take a couple trys to get it to connect.A black screen should appear with a reboot list.arrow down key to item 4 click and follow directions.this will clear like the day you got it home.nothing in it that you put in.it my leave the xp i cant remember.Good luck.(This is on a dell)

Yes. The best way is to make sure you have the XP CD, or the system CD that came with the computer. and then put that in, and follow the prompts to reformat the drive and re-install the OS.

You will have to re-call to when you first installed the operating system and do a system restored to that date.
