but i do not have the reciept anymore. i have never worn it and it still has the tags attachted, can i still return it for store credit?

it does depend on where you bought it, but I do that at Dillards, you don't ever need the reciept. They put a label on the tag that stores all the info the reciept does. Nordstroms and other stores do this as well. In these situations, it won't be a problem at all!

It depends what store you bought it from and who sold it to you because there is a chance tat the store clerk( unless if it is the same clerk) will think that you took it of the shelf and just are trying to get free money, unless if the store has a history of if the barcode on the tag was scanned once, twice or something like that. So yeah.

As long as you didn't get it from David's Bridal or any of their affiliate stores. I had the same situation, but they could pull up and see the transaction in their computer and refused to give me so much as a partial credit.
The dress was never worn, tags attached. Horrible customer service. Most places however will at least give you an in-store credit.

You should be able to. Most stores will give you the store credit. If the tag has the name of the store on it or something that is always on their tags of course.

As long as you have the tags, they will probably give you store credit, not cash. If you have a problem, then take it up with Better Business Bureau.and let them know that is what you are going to do. Say it nicely.

Alot of stores will give u store credit if it still has the tags but its different depending on the store.

It depends on the store. It's worth a shot. If this doesn't work try an exchange for items of equal value. If this doesn't work try a resale boutique (sometimes they'll let you have part of the profit).
