Why are stupid and violent clips on YouTube so popular? Why do people who stick fireworks up their butt so loved? Is our society we live in today degenrating so much that people would rather watch a video of a guy crashing his motorcycle and breaking his neck over something a little bit more important - like reading a book, a newspaper or maybe even watching the news!

Conflict and danger are entertaining, so people watch. Plus, watching stupid people gives us a sense of superiority, which makes us feel good. It's also an immediate reward, and people's patience is wearing thin these days.
