I know you have to keep the ear ring in for 4-6 weeks, which is fine with me. But sometimes I'm going to need to take it out. Like for maybe a few hours and then put it back in- is this fine? If I can do this I'll do it.

No, I CAN'T. I'm an assosciate at In-n-out and we aren't allowed to wear ear rings. That would be an example of when I would have to take it out while its healing.

I really don't think taking it out would be a good idea. I took my earrings out for only a hour or so right after I got my ears pierced When I put my earrings back in I basically had to repierce them.

Sorry...it only works properly if you leave it in (in most cases). My daughter, for example, has one completely close after 4 hours.

Ask your boss if you can wear a flesh-colored bandage temporarily while it heals. They really should be OK with that...especially if you work in a region with ethnic piercings such as nose or lips.

it's different for different people. You should leave it in to be on the safe side, but if you take it out and it grows up, you can push it back through with minimal pain. But it would probably take it longer to heal.
