"I just got a 2002 Toyota GT-S a few days ago".
If it were me, I would contact the dealership where I bought it and tell them. You most always have at least 30 days bumper to bumper on newer vehicles.
Washing your car is an expected event, and is a warning that this car might have problems in wet weather later.
You may find that a can of "HEET" or just getting the engine real warm will get rid of the moisture.
But get it on the books with the dealer that you are having problems, and they should check it out and fix it for you.

Did you wash under the hood ? If so you may have knocked a vac hose off by the way you describe it . Have someone try to keep the engine running and get under the hood.Listen and look to pin point the whistle noise is coming from ( a small piece of vac hose can be place in the ear and the other end moved around the engine the help find the leak ) If you find the leak plug it and see if the engine runs better. If it does find what it was plugged into or onto. Check that the air intake tube is secured on both ends as this can be blow off if the engine back fires . Good luck hope I helped

If you wash the engine , then i say you got water by the mag, if not than i doubt it, that its a water on the motor,
sound like a valcum leak , also check the air intake , people think when they put their foot on the gas, that their giving the engine gas , and actually its the reverse

it sounds like you knocked a hose off on the air intake hose between the throttle body and the mass flow sensor. wait the whistling sound, that would be a vacuum hose off the intake somewhere. hope this helps.
