As long as there is no itching, burning, pain (including abdominal pain), strange discharge or smell, then you're probably fine.
However, even if you are not currently sexually active, you should still be getting a regular gynecological check-up, and you should see a doctor if anything doesn't seem normal to you.

one possible reason ......that we do not hear so much about anymore is.... toxic shock syndrome,,this is a reaction to the actuall materials in the menstrual pads,,, ones with perfume or deoderant are worse,,,they can cause blood poisoning...i would suggest always brand,,,,they are the safest ones i know..and be really careful with tampons,,,..visit your oby-gyn,,,,,and if they are stumped for a cause,,,ask them if it could be toxic shock syndrome,,,,,sounds like it to me,,,,and even if they do not think so,,,be cautious,,,,esp if they cannot explain it,,

You need to make an appointment with your ob/gyn. It could be a mild infection, but I am no dr please make an appointment prevention is the key!
