Honestly, hon, you're 11 years old. Of course you don't get to have a cell phone!
I didn't get my first cell phone until I was 18.
Your parents are probably wanting you to get on Honor Roll at SCHOOL (that is how it's spelled, sweetheart) so you can prove to them that you have a sense of responsibility. If you were my little girl, the only cell phone you'd be owning would be one of those Cingular Firefly things, where you get an emergency button and four buttons with the numbers programmed in by your parent - just for safety, if you're going places on your own. You're 11, you don't need a cell phone. Other than the Firefly thing, my kids won't have cell phones of their own until they're old enough to get jobs and pay the bill themselves.
I transferred from a private school to a public middle school starting in 7th grade, and I did fine. I was actually really ahead of a lot of the classes (especially in reading and English), so as long as you PAY ATTENTION and DO YOUR HOMEWORK, you should be fine. You might even make the Honor Roll, and maybe your parents will allow you to have a cell phone. (Note I said "allow" - you're a child, and you are your parents' responsibility, and they choose what privileges you can and cannot have - so if they allow you to have a cell phone, it's because THEY think you can handle having one.)
I don't think you should worry about it, because it's not your decision whether you get a cell phone anyway. I could bet, however, that the fact that you hang out at the mall a lot might be the reason why you're not on the Honor Roll.

For starters, you can learn to type. Nobody is going to take you seriously if you use words like "Skool" and "wat".
Secondly, if you really want a cell phone, then do exactly as your parents say, and get on the honor roll. Nowadays it isn't THAT difficult, as everything seems to rely solely on you doing your homework and projects, and very little on test scores. (Besides! Public schools do not have the same standards as private schools, and it should be easier for you to get good grades in one)
Thirdly, you can start acting like an adult. By this I mean always doing your chores without being asked, and also taking on more than what you are required to do. If your chores include cleaning your room and doing the dishes, maybe you can also vacuum the house in addition to that. Parents appreciate things like that.
Finally, you can also do your research. Look into prepaid phones, like TracFone, where you pay as you go. This would reassure your parents that you won't run up the bill, since once you use up all your minutes for the month, thats it. You don't get any more until you buy more minutes.

You should enjoy being a kid! No one needs a cell phone at 11 years old. For that matter, I don't think anyone really needs a cell phone until they are old enough to drive unaccompanied by an adult (so 16, or in some states 17). I know that I sound like an old fart, but when I was 11 I didn't even talk on the phone! If I wanted to talk to a friend, I went over to their house.
I didn't get a cell phone until I was 20 (not that long ago, in case you were wondering), and my parents both got their first cell phones last year (and they are in their 50's!).
So, the point of all this is, basically, get over it. There are far more important things in life.

Listen why are you mad that you don't have a cell phone?because it sounds that you are not trying hard enough to improve your grades at skool, your reason is that you were transferd from one skool to another, that really is not a reason for you not to do better, because you just have to study harder and why don't you go to the library and work intead of going to the mall? Maybe your parents will see that you are trying to do better and that your responsible

You don't need a cell phone, you are only 11. I am turning 12 in less than a week and I don't have a cell phone. My mom says I can have one when I pay for it myself. Honor roll is easy. I'd have a phone by now if that was all it took. I am in 6th grade but I take 8th grade math. I am an above college reading level. And you complain because you can't have a cell phone until you are on the honor roll? Please. Honey, an 11 year old does not need a cell phone, but if you really want it, I'd suggest you pay for it yourself.

Listen to me carefully.
I get straight A's. I am on the honor roll. I got the citizenship award. I have never gotten a B on my report card, ever. I have never failed a test. I am the same age as you. I don't have a cell phone, or an ipod.
I got a labtop for my 11th birthday. Be thankful for what you have. Like my sister, I will get a cell phone when I am 13. I may get my sisters old ipod if I want it, an old 2nd version ipod.
Be happy about what you have. People these days can get so selfish and self-absorbed. Do you realize how lucky you are to have a roof over your your head? Hot meals to eat? A comfy bed to sleep in?
People on my bus always bring there Ipods on the bus, show off, and listen to all their music. I don't have an ipod, so I bring a cd player.
So what do you need a cell phone for? Use it once a week? Wow! Improve your spelling, then see what happens.

1. please learn how to spell....it's school not skool.
2. you're 11, you don't need a cell phone
3. if you don't know half the stuff that you're new public school knows, then you're private school sucked or you didn't pay attention. Either way you're parents just lost a lot of money over your education that you didn't learn.
quit going to the mall and study. maybe if you show that you're responsible that will help.

That isnt really fair to tell you that you need to make the honor roll when you first get transfered. Also I hope you take friends when you go to the mall. Ask them nicely maybe in two or three years when you older. At eleven years old I dont think you need a cellphone THAT badly. Good luck with your grades.

I didn't even know what a cell phone was when I was eleven. There was no need for one, either, because my parents wouldn't have DREAMED of letting me run loose without supervision.
Your parents should be worried more about your education at this point in your life than whether or not you have a need for a cell phone. If your parents are being parents, you don't need one at all.

You need to stop going out on your own or to the mall and stay home and study what you don't know. Your education is the most important thing as that is how you will get a job and survive once you get out of school. Shopping does nothing except for spend money that at 11, isn't yours to spend.
I applaud your mom for not caving in and giving you a phone if you don't deserve it, although why she allows her 11 yo daughter to go out alone to the mall I don't understand.
