Who is the person offering you the deal? Do they represent anyone else? I'm sure your parents are aware of this, right? Have them ask lots of questions. If the guy is serious, you should get legal advice. You dont want to sign your life, image, and creativity to just anyone. You have something to offer the world... you are the product he is going to try to sell. What is he offering you for that product? Is it worth it?
Be really careful about taking any deals. The music industry is really really rough now adays. Trust me... i have been in a rock band (called Pure Crimson) for 7 years, and we have had our share of promises made and then broken.
Do you play out much now? Maybe you should really focus on getting gigs for yourself for awhile, devoloping YOUR voice for yourself, not just doing what some marketing pro tells you to do. Dont lose yourself to this industry. Think of the pop stars that have done that--- here today, forgotten tomorrow. I believe that the people that last the longest in our industry are the ones that speak from their own soul... sing their own songs. Obviously, there is a time and a place to play the game, just stay balanced.
Good luck with your career. I hope for the best for you!

Don't make this decision alone. Consult respected adults-family,teachers,parents of your friends. Rely on the wisdom of others as you are not yet an adult. However, you are gifted with a remarkable voice to have so many others taking notice of your talent. Your age is part of this decision,as well as your best friend, but there are many other factors and logistics to consider. Find out what is involved if you accept-will you move, not finish high school, who will be responsible for the financial decisions? You have a lifetime to use your talent and share your voice. Tell the person to talk about the "record deal" with a trusted adult and yourself so you have more information. These are big decisions and you should have as much information as possible. Don't rush into something unless you feel the timing is right. Good Luck!

well are you being offered one?
why not tell your parents or gaurdians?
its not a once in a lifetime offer,
you can get record deals so long as someone thinks you have talent and is willing to back you. Mariah carey got her deal when she was only 18. Out of highschool and she was a backup singer.
she waited until she was a fairly grown up girl and really knew what she wanted before she attacked it. Wait unitl you know singing is your life. Because once you sign a contract your are bound to it. They expect a certain amount of work outta you even when you dont want to . Enjoy life first, work on your voice more, and success if right at your feet!

You should set up an appointment with the person that is offering you this opportunity. TELL YOUR PARENTS! This person might not be actually offering the real thing. GET A CONTRACT FROM THAT PERSON SIGNED MY HER/HIM. HAVE A LAWYER LOOK AT IT ALSO! But still continue with school. NEVER DROP OUT! You need something to fall back on.
One all this is done then yes go for it. All of the thing s I put in "caps" are very important DO THEM.

GO FOR IT~~!! You may not get the chance next time! If your friend has a great voice as well, maybe you can ask the person to accept both of you! Like a group or something

This is a decision you should make with your parents, not over the Internet. Your 15 and if this is for real, your parents can make sure that the person who offered you this deal is legit. Good Luck tho.

It’s so great that you have this gift, ENJOY USING IT! You have to make your own decision about record deals but it would be good for you to talk to your parents and always read the fine print. GET THE FACTS never compromise and lose the joy you can have from your talent.

You should not take the deal because it may be a scam. Finish school, because you might regret missing graduation and prom. And in the meantime, try out for American Idol and take their criticism as it comes and work on the problem areas.

Yeah, if you really want to do it. I think a record deal would be a great opprotunity for a 15 year old.
