I know some guys that like Wizards more.
As they say.. to me.. Because they can control and even create a dragon..
So its a power thing..

You can't have one without the other. Dragons are cool but Wizards are awesome.

Well wizards can freeze dragons, but if the spell fizzles the dragon can eat the wizard...or breathe fire but the fire wouldn't hurt a fire wizard, or a water mage either if you think about it...

It seems from the other answers dragons are more popular. Which I'm a dragon fan myself. I have a tribal dragon tattoo on my left arm.
