definetely apple is better for anything in terms of being probably the most sound laptops built. First off yes its true the new MacBook Pro's can run the new Microsoft Vista (Due out at the end of January 2007) along with the outstanding OSX Panther / Tiger OS. So since your not looking for a gaming machine than even a standard apple 15.4 ' screen Mac Book Pro which runs for around 1899 CND will do and even that has a kick a** graphics card. Oh and did i mention its fast... the whole Duo Core 2, 1 GB of RAM at 667 MHz... and so on... if you want full specs visit www.apple.com

Definitely Apple, you get the stability of running the MAC OS (Leopard will be out shortly), a virus free environment (for now), lots of great features and they were rated the best customer support.

Being a student you also can get a student discount. I changed over from Windows about 1 1/2 years ago. Many people I know are also making the change. I no longer get the blue screen of death, worry about defragmenting (the OS does it for me automatically), my Mac came with a talking dictionary/theausaurus/ Appleworks/Worldbook/Sherlock/iPhoto and more.

I love my Mac. As far as I am concerned, since it can run Windows as well as a windows machine since it is now Intel based, is the best out there.

Photoshop is available for the Mac, but it is a different version. So that is where the WIndows partition comes in handy. You might want to see if PS is going to be coming out with a new version and just get the Mac version of it.

Let me get this straight...you have an X-box 360, a PS2 and $2,100 to blow on a laptop? **** man, your living the dream!

I've heard the new Apples can run Windows because they have a Pentium chip. Plus it fights off the Microsoft monopoly.

Although my poor *** had to settle for a $400 Compaq...but it actually works great!

I have this same computer... it has all the features you need and want plus it is a fraction of the cost... it is factory refurbished so it is good as new, they just cant sell it for the price of a new one. buying this same model new is about 2500.
