Who else out there doesn't like children? I don't wish any harm on the little ones but they just annoy the hell out of me so I don't want any and don't want to be around any. People always think I'm mean because I don't like kids. I like kittens and puppies. I can't be that all that bad.

I used to romanticize the idea of children, then I had some...of course I love them, but there was a difficult time when they just needed so much attention and couldn't do anything...it kind of runs you ragged. And, of course, nobody tells you about that...but now I think I've accepted that kids are a lot of work...maybe you just realize how much work it is, and don't really want to deal with it right now...that's a heck of a lot better than people who just have all these kids, and then can't give them the attention they need, and then the kids suffer.

Well, I think it is good that you know that about yourself! I didn't want kids for the longest time, and people say mean things if you are married and don't have or want kids! I think that if you like puppies and kittens, and not kids, it may someday be a stepping stone to wanting kids. You are just not ready, and may never be! Training animals is very similar to raising children in some ways, even our pediatrician told us that when we didn't have any kids. Nothing is wrong with that. It is wise not to want them , and to respect yourself for being honest. Children do grow on you though. It may just be a confidence and maturity level thing. It was with me. I applaud you for being an individual who knows herself (or himself!)

There is nothing wrong with you! I have to say though that I don't like other people kids! I had my own and I love them but I still cant take other kids lol. I wish more people did the same as you. When you say you wont have any. There are way to many people out there who feel the way you do but pop them out ever other year and treat them like crap. Did you ever say to yourself when you see some parents, there should be a law who can become a parent. It is for people like you who have them and treat them like crap. At least you are smart and brave enough to know better! :) Good for you!

It doesn;t make u a bad person or anything, kids **** me up the wall with all the questions and all the help they need! Don't put urself down be happy enjoy life without kids! and babies are so different from kids!! and u grow to love them

No its a preference. Some people just dont have enough patience for it.
Not everyone is cut out to be a parent and its good you found out now before you have any. Sometimes they bother me too because they are in constant need for affection.

It doesn't make you a bad person, it's just your opinion. I only have a problem with kids when their undisciplined brats. I hate it, when people don't raise their kids right. I am a mother and my son would never act like a freak pitching fits. I didn't have to spank him, he was just raised right.

I don't dislike them but some of them annoy me and I certainly don't want any. It doesn't make me a bad person just someone who knows their not fit to be a mother.
