read 25 volts, and on it read 110 volts. Where are the 25 volts coming from?

When you read the voltage with the switch on you read the voltage in parallel. When the switch was off you were reading the voltage in series through the light bulb and read the voltage drop of the bulb.

it could be a "back feed" but most likely it is nothing to worry about. Sometimes meters give false readings depending on how good your ground is and other things. I wouldn't worry yourself about the 25 volt reading because it wouldn't hurt you to touch it anyway. Now if you start blowing fuses or breakers over it that might be another story.

when you put the meter across the switch terminals you created a parallel circuit with the light bulb. the other85 volts went through the lamp.
