Why is it that whenever someone asks, how other people cope with having a husband or wife working long hours. Why does someone always have to say something like

"Well maybe your husband/wife doesn't want to come home or be home??"

Why can't some people just understand that sometimes it's just the JOB that is keeping them away and that it's not because they want to be away but that they don't have much choice?? They have to support their families and that they don’t necessary like there hours, but it’s what they have to do to get were they want to be latter on.

Most people don't see reality, they don't realized that your husband worked long hours to support, to get ahead of bills, to have extra things, to paid all the medical bills, put food on the table, clothes on the kids back, paid all the copayments when the kids get sick, and etc. on, on,on.
My husband would rather be home, spend time with me,and the kids, but face it, everything keeps going up on prices, all employers keep on cutting paychecks for income, laid off, and if you are working a $6.50 and hour or under $10.00 and hour, you cant make a living, put food on the table, clothes on your own back and new shoes, and not even for your own kids, and most of your stuff comes from a thrift store, or on clearnace from Walmart or Target.
Nobody wants to pay a decent salary for working man or woman, they think we should get pay less, for more work!
Don't take the advice personell, they just don't live the reality of what most famiies have to live like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In most people's experience a spouse that spends a lot of time away from home for work is having an affair. Or just like they say a spouse stays at work because they don't want to come home because they don't care for their spouse anymore. Everyone is always looking for the drama in a relationship. Having everything going well in the relationship is no fun.

Well because sometimes people feel insecure. And when you are all alone for days eating dinner, doing housework o helping the kids out..people tend to feel bulky and lonely no matter what the job requirements are,the stress of loneliness gets the better of the best of us.So no rationale ideas will come out of the head other than irrational and stupid ways of talking as it's a mode of defense. So if people know the importance of his/her job and career interests, both partners should also know the importance of family life and try to curb the stress of loneliness and burden of work.
