from a pc-virus?Whilst inserted in my current pc, Forever!or can it be re-started/configured ,Outside the pc ,to new(good as new).after infection.

The drive itself is not at risk. The drivers that let the drive communicate with the os and other programs is at risk. Uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers ought to fix most problems. Good anti-virus program can root out the problem before taking that step however. Give an anti-virus a whirl. I like AdAware SE personal. It's free. it's decent. it doesn't get everything but gets most stuff.

be cool bro its going to be OK , #1- anything that is infected can be uninfected, #2- pickup your loving PC and get in your car , and go to the gods of PC"s all OS known as (the geek squad ) you can fine them at best buys. try them you will like your loving PC again, I'm out ,by,
