my wife and I made stockings for each child and filled them with goodies

our church also has a toy give away and food boxes

In my small community we have a tree of joy , it has tags with the age and gender of persons who are less fortunate with 3 Christmas wishes.

I took a tag for a 4 year old boy and have bought a snowsuit and sled that will be taken to his home on Christmas anonymously. If my budget allows I will be doing another before the holiday!

I gave money to the Salvation Army for clothing and toys for children in our area. I contributed to my local Meijer store that has a drive going where you purchase a bag of groceries and they contribute it to our local soup kitchen. I currently have a grocery bag full of non-perishables sitting by my front door waiting for the local Boy Scout troop to come back and pick it up, where it will be delivered to the Salvation Army Rice Bowl. So, as you can see, I have been thinking about the less fortunate. I always do.
