Happened somewhere in the pits of joi'sey I hear. Out where the oil refineries and dirt and filth abound so it can be contained to one location. Love that Taco Bell so the libs may be attacking them too. Libs plant bad food to run anything we like out of business and are really giving cruise ships a fit.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Taco Bell said on Sunday it had temporarily closed one of its fast-food outlets and was working with New Jersey health authorities seeking the cause of an E. coli outbreak that has sickened nearly a dozen people.
Eleven confirmed cases, all in central New Jersey and mostly affecting children, were reported by the Newark Star-Ledger on Sunday. Six people remained hospitalized.

In two cases, the infection developed into hemolytic uremic syndrome, or HUS, which can cause permanent kidney damage, the newspaper said.

The source has not been determined, but a Taco Bell restaurant in South Plainfield, where nine of the victims ate, was suspected.

The restaurant voluntarily closed last week.

Taco Bell said in a statement it was "working closely with health authorities as they continue to explore this situation. We have taken every precaution, including temporarily closing the restaurant until the investigation is completed."

The strain of E. coli bacteria identified in confirmed cases is E. coli O157:H7, the same strain found in packaged spinach his year that killed three people and sickened more than 200 across the United States.

"This is a significant outbreak of a serious disease, and a significant amount of people are ill," Middlesex County Director of Health David Papi told the newspaper. Papi called the scope of the outbreak, which began on November 17, uncommon. The health department could not immediately be reached.

Taco Bell is a unit of Yum Brands Inc..

u know why i quit taco bell. because people didn't wash thiers hands who were managers. The onions allways were slimy. we were instructed that they only put 1/8 ounce of them on anything, but they were allways slimy to me. I'm glad I quit that low paying $multimillion "we care less about our employes you can't call off EVER" place. It was the most "used" i think any employer ever did to me. I'd come into work, with only me punching in. 5 to 8 people would puinch out. Yet, we made as much or more money than they did all day, with only 2 of us. I'd do 5 to 8 people's jobs, made them money, make labor go down, make 10 tacos, wrap them, bag them, and have it at the window sometimes even before they'd get to the window. But, did I get recognition from Taco Bell? Heck no. I won't go back because I hope they make $500,000 less per year because I quit. Yes, I heard about the green onions. I never liked eating them either. Plus, since I don't work there, I lost 15 pounds! Mmm oatmeal!

Well, Two of my family members and myself ended up sick. We ate there on Friday night before midnight and sunday morning I had fever, body aches, vowel movement and a huge headache I could not sleep at all and fell dizzy anyway I had to work on Monday then I heard the news well I asked my family members if they felt sick and yes they did. I had a chalupa supreme and they had the taco salad. Too bad my brother threw away the darn receipt but today is Wednesday and I still feel sick. Enjoy not eating at TACO BELL...Dallas Texas I guess they still haven't hit this one. But I am about to let them know.

Listen kids: If you're going to eat at these sh*t fast-food joints, you (and your colon) need to be prepared for anything. Think about the numbnuts making your food - sh*t hours, sh*t pay, as*hole bosses, and you expect these guys to wash their hands after they take a dump? Hey, I eat this crap too, but once you do, you got to be ready to settle in on the can if you need to. Does anyone think Charmin and TB should get together on a marketing campaign?

P.S.: Those of you have have mean remarks about New Jersey, read up about us before you state innacurate information. We have a beautiful state and yours is dirtier than ours.
