Iran's President Mahmud Ahmadinedad is a loose cannon who has put your people in a bad position. His support of Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the "insurgents" in Iraq will be his downfall. We pray that you will be able to get out from under his tyrannical rule soon. God bless the Iranian people.

I think most misunderstandings between cultures come from their respective governments. Each tell their people what they want believed about the other. I dont know any good books right off, but if more americans read about Iran, and more Iranians read about the United States, there d more understanding. I personally hold nothing against Iranians, but I know i would nt like the government. I believe everybody should be free and equal no matter of age, sex, creed, or religion. Everybody should be judged solely on their own merit. I hope a overthrow isnt neccesary for a change, not everybody does by the way, I d like a peaceful world. Maybe if differnt religions introduced the teachings of islam, judahism, and christianity, maybe we d all get a better look at our brothers in the world. I wish you well, :)

Amazing how things changed in just a few years (1970's)... I went to high school with a number of Iranian students... great kids !! As nations we were friends too...

I know a number of Persian and Arabic folks here in California thru work, and play... again, wonderful people. I made a number of port-calls in UAE, Baharain, and Kuwait over the years... always wished we could stop on the other side of the Persian Gulf for a visit... as FRIENDS !!

Not sure what books to recommend regarding our history... if you can access Amazon.com there should be an ENDLESS supply if they can enter your country.

I'll pray too... peace in Persian and around the world.

You need to study books on American culture. You will be much impressed by the common American people specially their love for democracy and law. They will not comprise on their security. You must be proud of being Iranian having an old cultural history. Super Powers have their global agenda which in their opinion will bring stability and peace to the world. This is cause of tussle. Pray for peace and prosperity of your country.

As an Iranian, you have a serious problem.

Your leader is looking to Islamize the whole world and then start a world war to wipe out first the Saturday people and then the Sunday people.

Have you considered overthrowing this despot?
