At $6 to $8 for a value meal it's not a value anymore. We buy off the $1 menu now because that's a value.
For alot of people it is a convenience of ordering a #3 or #7 so that they don't have to list off everything that they want. It's kind of like texting,short and sweet.

The fact that value meals are a matter of public health alone should do it. However people love to eat more than they should anyway... maybe have the caloric value with the price would help!

It's easier to order everything you want/need in a group as opposed to a la carte.
