It's still crap!
I've been here 14 years and nothing has changed - forget about ever meeting anyone visiting you in a civilized manner and forget about being provided with clean efficient transport to anywhere in the city.
Unlike every other capital city airport in the whole of Asia, this place is useless.
Why can't the government finish good access roads to various parts of manila and subsidize clean, efficient public transport ( air-con buses) like all our neighbours?
It's a disgrace to try promoting this country as a tourist destination and then welcome them to the Manila airport with rip off transfers to their hotels.
It's very nice to see the small group of singers who welcome people off the flights and everyone is friendly, customs and immigration are easy, but, as soon as you exit those doors, you're in a nightmare. The easiest way is to pay the ridiculous 500 pesos for an airport "LIMO" ( a taxi) when a normal taxi would cost only 100 pesos to Makati or Malate.
Why can't we have an organized metered taxi stand like at the domestic airport, that works great!!!
It's all Scam Scam Scam. Even the taxis get ripped off to be able to go there.
WOW Philippines was a good try, but don't bring people here until we have the same standards as
Bangkok
Hong Kong
Singapore
Saigon
Hanoi
Kuala Lumpur
Kota Kinabalu
Jakarta
Taiwan
Macau
Phuket

etc etc

If you are using Philippine Airlines, you will disembark at Terminal 2 (also called Centennial Terminal). All other international airlines use the old Terminal 1. With 2 terminals serving the inbound passengers, it should be better now. But watch out during the Christmas season as the volume of arriving and departing passengers is expected to rise. Nevertheless, it should be bearable this time. Enjoy your trip to the Philippines!

there are 2 international airports in manila, the old one is the NAIA 1, the other is the centennial airport it's exclusive to PAL and its affiliates. We have a 3rd airport, but still up to now, it's not in operation bcoz of some controversy between the gov't and PIATCO (the one who built the NAIA 3). i think it's time that they should open NAIA 3 coz its modern, much larger, and can accomodate thousands of international passengers.
