Audio and Video Laws?

My child (who is 3) was granted visitation with his abusive father, and I was wondering if it was legal to send him with a hidden camera.

Depends on which state you live in, but probably not a good idea to plant a hidden camera on your kid. Logistically it would never work and when he finds it he will use it against you, legal or no. However, you can place a camera in your own home and you would be under no obligation to inform him.

why dont you petition the court to have supervised visits? much safer and more legal.
