I have an "inside guy" whom informed me that he can get me a game console this week. My only question: which should I get: a PS3 or Nintendo Wii? I'm not a big fan of video gaming and I'm getting it for my brother who is. Which one would he enjoy best?

I agree with all the others who said the "Wii"
Get one and you'll be playing it as well.
As for the people that said it is only for kids, you're wrong. This system is for everyone.

Calling some thing "Gaystation" would not help in making your element, it only makes you seem stupid. i'm no longer protecting psthough, Sony has made some vast errors and that they are going to pay in spades. The pricing in the beginning is ridiculous and easily the toughest of the hardcore will plop down the money devoid of hesitation. Sony's conceitedness concerning the entire count has particularly harm them too. yet what hurts the Wii is the controller layout. effective the action sensing would be super for Wii-particular video games yet ports will go through and "Wii" will see builders only no longer bothering to make Wii variations. And Nintendo has reported that they are no longer in the pictures race so it is going to ultimately be exceeded by employing as time is going on and builders make further and extra graphically exact video games.

Just ask your brother if you don't want it to be a surprise.Otherwise choose Wii but I think PS3 is better.Since both a "backward" compatible.So I think you should get him a Wii since it can play Gamecube games which are cheaper.PS3 too can play PS2 and PS1 games but Gamecube games are a bit cheaper than PS2 games--not PS1! So just go with Wii although I like PS3 bette and would have chosen it if I were you!

You really need to know what your brother is after. If he is a serious gamer, who really wants to have the best in graphics and quality, go for the PS3. That said, I absolutely love the wii. It is played so differently than all other systems, so it is easier for those who don't play alot of video games to pick up. Just do you homework on both systems, and decide what it is going to be used for.

The nintendo wii. For $350-$450 less you get an innovative gaming system that keeps you active. The graphics are a little behind, but the reality is ^^^^^^^^^!!!!!! The Wii is the way to go, unless you are very rich or that is the ONLY present you are getting for X-Mas. I would go Nintendo Wii.

it all depends on your friend. if your friend is a classic gamer they will enjoy a ps3. nothing now beats playstation. but if he might want something different and interesting as far as goin beyond regular gaming then get him a wii. wii are over 50% cheaper then even the cheap ps3

I'm not a big fan of video games, but I think the Wii looks really interesing. It's a lot more unique than the PS3 and it's actually interactive, which is really cool! Either way, good luck making your decision, I'm sure your brother will love either one!

Nintendo Wii all the way.....If you get a "Crapstation 3" you'll be paying too much to play Playstation 2 games with prettier graphics,and not to mention the supposedly Blu-ray Hd palyer....Its crap!!! First generation Blu-ray player means you'll have to insert a crispy clean Blu-ray disc each time with not even a hint of micro dust,or else skipping,stopping and just a bad experience....Nintendo has brought something exciting fresh and revolutionary to us,no question about it.....get a Wii!! you'll love it.

Depends. PS3 has good games for older people. Wii has more games for younger people and teens. I personally like the Wii, it id very fun to move around the controller like that.

Wii is cheaper and more available...but PS3 is better. But seeing as how you can get either get him the Wii and let me have the PS3!!!

i suggest getting a ps3 since that one is priced super high. You can probably buy the nintendo wii urself if u wanted to.
