I use the high speed every day. Some days it's fine other times
it goes along well and then doesn't allow me to surf the web it
doesn't freeze it just won't allow me to surf or send an email.
I have done everthing my server says to do and still I have
problems. When I unplug the computer and start over it works
better but I don't like to do that. What could be wrong??

There could be a problem with your phone line, that's interrupting the signals being transmitted. Find another wall socket and try to see if it works well, or change the wire that is connectiing your Dial-up modem to the phone socket.

Dial-ups are easily affected by radio signals and possibly antenna equipment. If problem persists, request for a change of modem or update the firmware on your PC.

the traffic on dial-up is shared by many other people using the same bandwidth, the traffic could affect your connection.

also you might want to set your modem speed to the second fastest speed, so that your modem will not choke due to traffic.
by default it is set to the highest speed.

also try updating the driver of your modem.

cheers!

I would say it is your ISP. I would call them and ask them what the problem is and see if it is their problem.

I have had to do that before.
