Romantic getaway in Bay Area?

Im looking for a romantic place to stay with my soon-to-be hubby for a honeymoon. our wedding is going to be small, so i want to make the honeymoon as romantic and nicely priced(we are a young couple with little money). Somewhere near a beach please!

B&Bs up the coast are really nice, but expensive. I'm not sure what your price range is, but a place I took my wife for valentine's day is:

It's right by the water, but in a small cool (weatherwise) town up north. If you are looking for a beach with sun I'd say santa cruz. There are places within walking distance to the beach in Monterey that aren't too expensive, and the beach is more private than santa cruz, but also cooler (weatherwise).

just a suggestion.
my sister and her fiance went there for their anniversary and loved it.
I,personally, find the idea ...romantic.
