My clothes, (mostly green and gray) sometimes come out of the washing machine with grayish pink stains. We have used Tide powder and Tide liquid and the blotches still appear. What could possibly affect this, and would I have to buy a new waching machine. The washing maching I have now is a 700-900 (Canadian $) Spacemaker from 2002-2003.
Thanks in advance!

How old is the washer? If you have been using it for a while you may have soap build up in the machine from using to much soap. You may try and run an empty load or two using hot water and bleach. Let it set for a while to soak. See how the water come out. If you are getting lots of suds you need to cut back on the amount of soap you use.

What are you washing before that load? Are you bleaching whites before you do that load? Are you washing in hot or warm? All these will cause dying or bleeding in the wash.
