Depends on how much you want to spend, to just "run" the game or "RUN" the game. Well, either way I would get a nvidia based card, I'm no fan of ATi, they can't seem to get their drivers straight and currently, they always find themselves in a far second spot with nvidia so I'm sticking with nvidia.

A Gefore 7600GS will probably run the game, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150170 but I wouldn't get that unless you could use SLi with it and as far as I can tell, you can't but it will probably just "run" the game. It's $116 and that's the base amount I would even consider spending for a graphics card.

The 7600GT, just a step above the 7600GS is probably your best bet, again, if you aren't look to scale up very much, this one is also $116 after a $30 rebate, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150182

Avoid the 7800 series entirely, no good now that the 7900 series is out and as far as that is concerned...

A 7900GS XT Edition for $157 after rebates, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150202

A 7900GT for $195 after rebates, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150195

Or a 7950GT for $239, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150195

That's about my limit for a single graphics card solution, I wouldn't spend more than $300 on a single or dual card configuration. But, as I said, it does not appear you can use a dual card configuration so if I were you, I'd stick with a powerful single card. Keep in mind that future games will use DX10 which is only supported by the 8800 series but they are $500+ so I wouldn't get those just yet.

These cards are my choices for what you need to do.

Your Sony has a built-in Intel 950 graphic card which is not very good for games. You maybe able to run Flight Similator X on this card but if it run, i can guarantee that you won't be happy with it.You'll need to upgrade to a Nvidia or ATI video card. Go check the specs for the game to see the requirement. The recommended requirement i believe is something like: a 3GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 512MB videocard. Don't know about the minimum requirement.

First find the requirements for the Flight Simulator. Then find out what graphics card you currently have.

If it meets the requirements, then go ahead and install it and enjoy.

If not, or you still want a better video card, then find out if your computer's motherboard has a PCI-express slot, if it doesn't then check for an AGP slot, then check for a regular PCI slot if neither are available. (PCI-express is best, then AGP, then normal PCI for video cards.) Then get the best card for the money than you can find that you computer can use.

Note: Even if you computer's existing video card can play the game, it still may not do a good job playing the game. So you may want to upgrade the card anyway depending on your current video card.
