It's 18 in California. A recent law also allows the retailer to check your ID if you look under FORTY years of age... scary that they are required to SCAN your ID and retain that information.
Why is that scary ? What do they need that information FOR ? They don't do the same for liquor purchases !! It is to discrimate on health insurance and life insurance.
Should the smoking age be RAISED ?? NO... I'm sick of people legislating away our freedoms.
IF they raise the smoking age... raise the draft age... and BAN smoking ANYWHERE in Washington DC... no private-office smoking for Congress !!

i think its 18 years old, i think it should be raised, one of my brother's smokes and he's only 6 months older than me(stepbrother) as for the same in all states i have no clue

18 probably should be raised to 118, cigarettes very addictive, very harmful

It should be 103 and I smoke...guess that's why I say that...
Smoking is bad...bad bad bad
Don't smoke...it's hard to quit...you stink...you can't breath...people are always bithc!ing about you stinking and making them stink...and how it effects them.
