Iago believes that love is merely physical; moreover, he insists that sexuality is in neither motivated by, nor representative, of emotion. His intentional and repeated misrepresentation of love and sex is apparent throughout the play. In addition to this misrepresentation, Iago also repeatedly exploits innocent situations and fabricates evidence to manipulate the emotional responses of others. Iago's jealousy later becomes the impetus behind malicious ploys, as his misrepresentation of love and his manipulation of others' jealously result in the swift destruction of many relationships in Othello.

You can also talk about the love between two women, Emilia and Desdemona. The "undressing scene" is the most potent of all because we see Emilia as she really is without being curbed by the presence of her husband, Iago. She also pours out her grievances about men treating women unjustly, which is an important aspect of the play because Othello for all his claims of loving Desdemona has indeed been the most cruel to her.

Desdemona loved Othello....and Othello loved her. The problem was his fatal flaw, as with all of Shakespeare tragedies. Othello, Romeo, Hamlet, Macbeth....they all have fatal character flaws.

Othello trusted the wrong person...and Iago told him repeatedly
"I am not what I am." Othello chose to trust Iago instead of the woman who loved him...oops...
