I would just get another cookie, one that has a fortune in it,... the waiter will understand. I would feel cheated if my cookie has no fortune.
Never happened to me... though I did get cookies with multiple fortunes a couple times.
And you know one of the tricks, right? No matter what the fortune says, you tack on the words "in bed" at the end of it... adds to the laugh-out-loud factor at the end of a meal.

nope. when you say a fortuen cookie, i think of the cookie, the shape, the taste...thats what makes it. but without the fortune...thats just wrong!
