Real:

*Parents wouldn't lie to their kids.
*My best friend claimed she saw him, and I have to believe my best friend.
*There are so many movies and stories about Old St. Nick, why wouldn't he be real if all these books and movies came out starring Santa Claus?
*Parents couldn't afford to buy us Christmas gifts AND give kids those pricy gifts that are supposed to be from Santa!

Not Real:

*Men dress up in red suits and hats and claim to be Santa Claus; you can usually see a fake Santa at a mall
*A boy in my class said his parents admitted they were the ones giving him gifts on Christmas Eve
*"He sees you when your sleeping, he knows when you're awake" -- sounds like PARENTS!

The American version of St. Nicholas, or Santa Claus is a fictional character that originally came from the Dutch version called Sint Klaas. The Dutch settlers in New Amsterdam (New York) brought this fun and lively tradition (some even say cult) to America.

Santa is very real. Depending on what you believe. The discovery and history channel do a documentary every Christmas on the original St. Nick and how he became a saint and all it is very interesting. I am 24 years old and still believe in the little fat elf that delivers toys and magic to kids. It's with that belief that keeps the season going.

Of course he is real. Don't listen to all those people who say that he is fake. They have no idea what they are talking about.
