This is a tough one.

You child has been sick for many years and is in incomprehensible pain. He/She asks you if you'd be ok with them dying to not be in pain anymore. Would you abide?

ABSOLUTELY! I would want the best for my child, and if he wishes for no more pain, I would gladly abide....It is his life, he must make the choices.....killing someone or forcing them to live against their own will is cruel...

=)

Yes I would abide, if my child is living in pain I wouldn't want them to suffer especially knowing they would be in a better place and not in pain at all. I would want them to be happy.

If the child, or anyone asks that question, they are ready to die. And getting the approval, will allow them to go in peace, knowing it was OK to go, and they made the right decision. It is tough to go through, but only they know what they can handle.

Yes, I would. The reason I have been sick all my life and I told my mother if I ever got to the point where I couldn't handle the pain and suffering, I wanted to die and to let me.

Yes.
I would want the best for my child, living an unhappy life where the pain never ends wouldn't sit well with me. I know she would go some place better and be happier, and she'd always be with me..
So, yes..

It depends if the sickness is curable. If not, then I would consider. I would also consider the age of the child. I was ill as a child, but made it through okay.

If there was no chance for any kind of recovery, I wouldn't want to see my child in pain anymore. I would have to respect their wishes.

If there was no hope I think I would say okay but that is such a hard question to answer if you have never been in that situation. I hope I never have to deal with that.

I'd have to go with his decision. I wouldn't want my child in pain.

I might. I believe that they should control their life. The only case in which I wouldn't is if they where delirious and hallucinating.
