My cousin just gave birth to a baby girl on Friday December 1st. She did not know she was pregnant and has nothing. I want to plan a shower for her so she can get stuff, but I have no ideas on anything!! Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!!!

For all of you who are gonna say mean remarks about how its impossible to not know your pregnant let me tell you this.. She gained a total of 10 lbs. And had just had knee surgery and quit working out and ate a lot.. she gathered it was from that!! She didn't miss her period, and had no signs that would lead her to think she was pregnant!!!

You'll want to have it fairly on the down low as she's probably not feeling 100% yet. Have some sandwiches and cake. I thinks it's great to have the shower after the baby arrives - then everyone gets to see the new member! Plan around baby's nap times.

Wow what a surprise! If she hasnt got anything, then I would suggest asking ppl if they would like to go in on a big gift, like a crib, or a rocking chair. If you can get a lot of ppl to chip in then you can get one or two really great gifts that cost a lot. With the left over money you can buy sleepers, and wipes, diapers. that sort of thing. The one thing that i really want is a glider rocking chair for at night time. Good luck.

We could fill it with all the "little" things she won't have that other people won't think to get her (gas drops, teething gel, saline spray for stuffy noses, baby bath, powder, diaper cream, nail clippers, etc!!) They make a GREAT centerpiece at the shower, too!!

She didn't KNOW she was pregnant? Where was her belly? On the moon? Since she "didn't know she was pregnant" she probably needs everything, just have a "general" shower and tell people she needs everything...but I'm still trying to figure out going up to 42 weeks not knowing you're pregnant...the body shape alone would be a hint wouldn't it?
