Don't think about why you are nervous, think about how great it is going to be when you get the piercing. I got my nose done and I worried for a second before I realized how great it was going to look! Go with a friend, parent or someone who trust who can hold your hand through the whole thing. Make sure the piercing is done in a sterile setting by a professional and you should be perfectly fine! All you have to worry about it what kind of ring you should put it in (only when the piercer tells you it's safe to change, of course!!)

being scared is so normal. it's really not that bad. I would do it a second time. The worst part about a belly button piercing is the clamp they put on before hand and even that isn't so bad. take a few deep breaths. when they pierce you it feels like a lot of pressure but honestly i can't remember the pain. I'm sure it hurt a little but by the time i saw my new piercing i was over it completely. I also believe that some places have a spray that they can use to slightly numb the area. I'm not sure what it is called but i have a friend that had it. my advice is to go to a few places that do piercings and talk to them about it, find a place where you feel comfortable and go for it.
good luck and relax....you'll love it when you're done.

Just think about it, really think about the reason WHY you want it, if you're like me then it's for the brand new experience or the excitement that it might or might not hurt, or maybe I'm weird. The last thing I would do is watch a bunch of videos about it. Think about why you're scared, is it the pain, or do needles just plain freak you out? If it's any of these then remember that it takes only a second and thats it, it's over and you get to go pick out a weeks worth of rings. Woo! If you can't figure out why you're scared then you're just nervous, which is fine, turn that nervousness into excitement by thinking about what you'll wear or what you'll buy, or the expression on peoples' faces when they see what you accomplished. Be nervous, be excited don't be scared, this is a new experience something you'll remember and laugh at, you'll be fine, oh and BREATHE!

Just go for it. I heard all sorts of horror stories about agonizing pain, passing out, etc. but once the needle went through I was like, "that's it?!?!" Take deep breaths. My piercer got me chatting and it was over before I realized it. It is so quick and it really isn't bad at all. Good luck

You know, sometimes its good to let yourself get scared if you realize why you are doing it. Excitement and fear put adrenaline in your system, and you dont feel pain as much. So use your fear, because you arent going to be able to get rid of it....someone is putting a hole in your body for goodness sake! But it only hurts a short while, and then you wont ever thing about it again!

If your mind is made up, just do it! Just go do it. Trust me, from observation i know that the more you think about something the less likely you are to do it or the more afraid you'll become of it. theres planning, and then theres over-doing it. your over doing it. just go get it peirced!

When I tried to peirce my ears by myself, it hurt like crap!(Now I'm going to a professional) I know that doesn't help, but think of it like this. Once the hurting goes away and it doesn't feel so bad, you'll like what you did.
