Should it be Legalized?

First, read the story of why it became illegal in the first place. http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/Library/mj_outlawed.htm

It was outlawed for two reasons. The first was racial prejudice against Mexican immigrants. The second was the fear that heroin addiction would lead to the use of marijuana -- exactly the opposite of the modern gateway myth.

When it was outlawed at the national level, the American Medical Association testified that they knew of no evidence that it was a dangerous drug and, therefore, no reason for the law.

The only other medical testimony was from a doctor whose sole claim to fame was that he had taken some extract of marijuana and injected it directly into the brains of 300 dogs -- and two of them had died. This doctor became the US Official Expert on marijuana and later testified in court, under oath, that he had tried marijuana and it turned him into a bat.

All of the major research to that period had concluded that marijuana did not present any danger to society or individual health.

In all the years since then, the reasons have never gotten any better. Marijuana prohibition is founded entirely on ignorance and urban legend. That is no accident. Harry Anslinger, head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, realized in 1937 that the marijuana laws were unenforceable. What caused him to think that? He walked out on a bridge over the Potomac River and saw a field of cannabis stretching as far as the eye could see. Therefore, he went with the Reefer Madness campaigns.

Every major study of the marijuana laws in history has concluded that they are based on ignorance and nonsense and should have been repealed long ago because they do more harm than good. You can read these studies at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer under Major Studies of Drugs and Drug Policy.

Absolutley...

Here are the facts....

It has never been proven that marijuana is addictive.
The people in rehab for marijuana are there for the sole reason that it was part of a plea agreement when they got busted.
If properly regulated, there would be a controlled ammount of THC in the marijuana that the government sold.
If made legal, the legal system would be able to focus more on crimes that had victims...in which we would keep people that rape, murder, steal, molest children, etc....in prison longer...where they belong.
People would no longer become victims of the laws instead of victims of crimes.
Families that have marijuana users would no longer be split up due to a parent that smokes occasionally on the weekends or grows their own for personal consumption.
Thousands of drug dealers would be put out of business.

I could go on and on and on..

What message does nicotine from tobacco deliver to childrens? close up with this our youngsters bull ****. That line is often used while somebody desires to prohibit some element from accountable adults. Marijuana treatments maximum cancers , makes human beings non violent, and is medicinal for extra than a number of alternative ailments. that's the real message . besides the fact that, childrens shouldn't smoke marijuana anymore than they drink booze. Wait till they attain person age.

Without a doubt . It's medical uses alone make it a wonder drug . The money the government could save from stopping the war against pot would probably give GW enough money to attack some other country . Enough is enough

people do not want this because it will cut into drug dealers profits and would be harder for kids to buy. They voted not to long ago in support of drug dealers who sell laced weed because their is no quality control like liquor and beer.
