Haven't gotten a hotel yet either. Any suggestions for where to stay that night?

hahaha go to puerta del sol the new years eve, there youll have lots of people (traditionally like in times square in new york.

for after that, you can go clubbing to pacha, kapital, palacio de gaviria, the penthouse...those are the best clubs in madrid.

kapital..seven floors. a whole building. pure clubbing. different music in each level, PROBABLY THE BIGGEST CLUB IN DOWNTOWN

pacha. a theatre. is the best club for me, not the most beautiful but the best music and people.

palacio de gaviria. an old palace in the old madrid. very beautiful, different areas and music.

penthouse. a new one also in the old madrid, a penthouse in a great hotel. more like a bar...but soooo cool and vip

the rates...30 euros with one drink (spanish drinks are about the half of the drink alcohol, not like in another countries.)

and around 60 euros 'barra libre' so it means, all you can drink.

oh men, ull love madrid clubbin.
spain is famous for clubbin in europe.

You will not have a problem finding a party in Madrid, especially on New Years Eve. Anywhere near the Puerta Del Sol shoud be good.

A lot of people celebrate New Years Eve in the street - the liveliest of all is reputedly Pun Del Sal, in Madrid. see http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/new_year.htm and check out information on Madrid http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/madrid.htm

Gotta say that the run down on the clubs is excellent. Just one point to note is that you´ll probably have to be glammed up to get in. The traditional aspect of Madrid and New Year is here:
