The comoving distance to the edge of the visible universe is about 46.5 billion light years in all directions from the earth; thus the visible universe may be thought of as a perfect sphere with the earth at its center and a diameter of about 93 billion light years. The universe is finite, but very big. So big that for our purposes it is infinite since we have no way of ever reaching any end or edge, no matter how fast we travel. As for other intelligent life, statistically there almost has to be other beings out there. There are just too many galaxies with too many stars not to have intelligent life happen again.

This question seems silly who knows how big the universe is the real question is what is the universe. Yes of course there is other life in another solar system if you found another solar system similar to ours you find a pattern of giant gas planets and maybe a water bearing planet like ours that contains oxygen. Maybe there are other planets that are cool has life but does not contain oxygen maybe something totally different. Life could exist evolution on that planet may totally differ equaling more advanced lifeforms at a faster rate of time. Also another planet contains different elements we use forms of steel titanium gases liquid fuel for rockets and other materials like silicon gold for proccesors for computers. another planet might be better more materials different elements that can do more advanced things.
We humans must use natural elements of space to further are travels and knowledge of the unknown we must understand magnetism gravity rotational force in a better manner to scratch the surface of whats beyond our solar system.

The universe is roughly 100 billion light years from end to end. As for extraterrestrial life, we cannot prove or disprove its existence yet.
