if you really think you got what it takes then go for it and start your portfollio...go to a modeling agency and ask what they think you would be good for. there are alot of different types of models out there. if you really are what they are looking for a good modeling company will give you modeling lessons, etc for free, not make you pay for them, because if they really like you, they will want to keep you. so if you really think this is what you want to do, and have the dedication and time then go for it. Plus photographers, etc, love easy going people and girls that will do what they want with out any adittude/hassel.

You can't judge yourself or those very close to you. We have a friend who thinks she's beautiful. Her mother often talks about how beautiful her daughter is. Take it from me, she's not that good looking.
You may be very pretty but let the personnel director at the modeling studio determine if you have the look that they need. Often it's not just looks. I wish you all the luck in the world.

First to be a model you need height and to be photogenic. just because your pretty to certain people doesnt mean you can be a model i get that comment all the time. but if you are intrested go for it but dont let people tell you what to do with your life and time. modeling can suck with long hours taking a toll on your well being and be stressful and there's always the hassle of staying young and fresh and in demand.because basically you are a product or a hanger for clothes.

It takes much more than being pretty to enter the modeling world. Sure, you could go to your local Barbazon school and do some local ads, but thats about as far as it'll go. There are all different types of modeling [commercial, high fashion, etc] and the usual requirement is to be atleast 5'9. You have to have a hard shell, because it brings along much critiscism. Good luck.

i don't think being pretty is a prerequisite for being a model because i don't find most models pretty. What they all have in common is a body style that is in right now-- namely about six feet tall and 90 pounds. To me this is a freak.

'Pretty' has nothing to do with modelling. If you function well as a coathanger you have everything it takes to be a model.
