Because of globalization, the U.S. with its high priced labor force will loose Jobs to foreign countries where the labor force if cheap. We are seeing more and more out-sourcing in the world of electronics as when we call for assistance with our computers and someone from India gets on the phone and asks, "May I help you".

However, with a cheaper labor force, the large companies are able to remain in the black and compete in a smaller and closer world. But, the basic consideration is that the companies that re-locate abroad are American and the American business begins to have an effect upon the body politic of the world.

We will loose jobs due to out-sourcing, but we will have a more peaceful world as business can only survive and prosper in a stabalized environment.

There are arguements that globalization may effect the nation-state and make localities more powerful due to the closeness of the companies doing business in the locality. For example, people will be traveling from Paris to Madrid and not from France to Spain, using modern mass transportation. It is a scenario that needs to be played out and no definite answer can be offered, right now, as to any threats to the nation-state.

Of course it will. Assuming of course, that by "globalization" you are referring to the fact that more jobs are getting outsourced to other countries, and also that there are now "new players" in the top tier of global economics and influence, like China and India. Since globalizaton effects the economy, it also effects the prices we pay for all goods, from food to clothes, to gas, to homes, to utility bills. The only was a person could NOT be effected would be if he were to live in the woods and be self-sufficient and hunt his food and make his clothes! LOL.
