I'm sure the real age is 16 or 18. I mean we are responsible for our kids til they are of legal age which is 18 in most states. It really just depends on how mature your kids are. I was left home alone when I was 10. That was a long time ago. And there weren't alot of weirdos and perv's running around loose.

There doesn't seem to be a legal age for most states. Child Protection Agency would have the guidelines for your state. Mainly you can't leave them in a dangerous situation. By age 12 most children are responsible enough to be alone for awhile.

That is ******* retarded! No child should ever be left alone! EVER! Until they are at least 18 years of age! AT THE LEAST! We got enough ******* sickos in this world who take advantage of children they way it is! We don't need to encouage it even more by leaving 12 year olds by themselves!

There shouldn't need to be an age limit. If you are the parent you should make damned sure they are responsible and mature enough to be left. If there is the slightest doubt then don't leave them.

well for one no child should be left alone until the age of sixteen when they are kinda responsible.
