Without thinking... I blew in that shredded insulation (about 6 - 8 inches) over "old" faced insulation in an attic. Do I have to worry about moisture damage in the attic? I made sure that it didn't get blown into any air vents on the eaves.

You are smarter than most for even doing it.

As long as you have a little space above the insulation (air gap), you are saving money as you read this with no worries of condensation issues.

you didn't hurt anything, the only thing you need to make sure of is IF you have recessed lighting, check to see if the housings on the lights are rated for insulation contact (IC). if they are not, you will need to go up in the attic and uncover the tops of the lights otherwise they will overheat and it is a fire hazard
