Well I'd stay in high school if you could. You could check with the charter school and ask them if their students get a diploma upon graduation. I think that charter schools have to offer a diploma but I'm not sure.

I would look into the charter school first and see what will happen if you transfer there or if you're accepted into the school. But a Diploma is better than a GED, GED usually means dropout, quitter to some people. Plus wouldn't you want to graduate with your fellow classmates?

Personally I don't know what a Charter School is, but if it's anything like a couple of my sons went to I would suggest that you stay in high school. I don't know why you have a distaste for it and can only imagine why. Your opportunities in high school out-weight your chances of a good job after you finish. If you went to high school when I did I could possibly understand your reasoning but in today's world I'm sorry but I can't side with you. You might want to consider going to a different school if you have a choice as that may well be your problem. If you live in a large city I can see where the problem lays and you'll just have to buckle down and start hanging with the right guys instead of listening to some buddys who may be turning you in the wrong direction.

A charter school should issue a diploma, just like a public high school. But to be sure I'd check with the school in question.

A diploma is way better than a ged. I dropped out and I am planning on getting my ged. I wish that I would have stayed in school. A diploma would have gotten me alot further. A ged will help... but a diploma helps more!

"Young people who drop out of high school are unlikely to have the minimum skills and credentials necessary to function in today's increasingly complex society and technological workplace. The completion of high school is required for accessing post-secondary education and is a minimum requirement for most jobs.1 High school dropouts are more likely than high school completers to be unemployed.2 Additionally, a high school diploma leads to higher income and occupational status.3 Interestingly, however, many youth who drop out of high school eventually earn a diploma or a GED. One study found that 63 percent of students who dropped out had earned a diploma or GED within eight years of the year they should have originally graduated.4

Studies have found that young adults with low education and skill levels are more likely to live in poverty and to receive government assistance.5 High school dropouts are likely to stay on public assistance longer than those with at least a high school degree. Further, high school dropouts are more likely to become involved in crime.6 "

if you cannot read and comprehend that, you might be better off dropping out.

Go to the charter school. It will look much better on your resume than a GED.

You'd better finish high school, then go to college, or at least a trade school. With nothing but a high school diploma, you 'll be competing for jobs that pay 6 bucks an hour.

a diploma is MUCH better than a G.E.D. and you will have many more opportunities open to you later if you finish high school. dont mess up your future by quitting now. You will really regret it later!

Find some interesting classes that you might find interesting, maybe talk to one of the counselors about what you have difficulty with. good luck :)

You'd be a drop out. A GED, in other words, means, "Quitter" to potential employers when you start looking. No company or good job wants to hire anyone who is going to be a quitter.

Tough it through high school. It'll so be worth it.
