That's impossible.
Go ahead tell her she smells like a horse.

I had the same problem with my husband. I just bought him some mouthwash and told him that because I love him so much, I had to let him know that his breath is not always the best. Before doing that I would also suggest that we brush out teeth together in the morning and at night. And I would buy gum and always offer him some. Since he never got the hint, I just had to tell him. Just make sure you let her know that you care and don't want others talking about her, so you're doing your duty as her boyfriend.

Ask her "what would you say to me if my breath was really bad but you didn't want to hurt my feelings?" That will get the point across gently.

Aside from brushing her teeth more, it could be any number of things, but one of the most common is that she might not be eating enough if she is dieting or very thin. Dieting can cause bad breath because of the ketones building up in the body.

Walk into a store together during those groceries shopping day and buy those twin packed mouthrinse or buy two. Keep one for yourself and at the same time offer the other to her and tell her you like the smell of fresh mint. Brag a little on how good the mouthrinse is.

I remember when I dated a guy with that problem. I used reverse psychology on him and told him I didn't want to kiss because I thought MY breath wasn't fresh...
I told him I tasted something funny when we kissed and asked him to smell my breath to see if it stinks. Then I said I didn't understand why my breath would stink because I brush, use mouthwash, etc...
I think after all that talk about it he realized he wasn't keeping up with his dental hygiene because it suddenly got a lot better.

Just tell it to her in a gentle, loving, caring way. Perhaps you can start with, Sweetheart please don't be mad at me but not telling you this would mean I don't love you enough. Or something to this effect.
She can use Listerine of course to rid of bad breath. The strongest possible. Or keep some minty candies handy so she can suck on it once in a while.
Goodluck!

If you two are really that close then you should be able to just tell her. If you feel uncomfortable about it, then offer her a stick of gum or a mint. To be in-conspicuous about it, eat one yourself first, THEN offer her one. Mints can lead to some kinky things too if you play your cards right, but I'm not giving you that one so easily :-) I have lived with my girlfriend for 2 years. Trust me.

Keep slipping her mints. And if she says that she doesn't need them, smile nicely and say "Sweetie, yes you do". I know, I had a co-worker who's breath who'd make you wan to slit "his" wrists. Each time I offered him a mint, he would say "No, I don't need it". And I would smile and say "Trust me, you do". If given in the nicest way she shouldn't take offense to it, and if she does DO NOT KISS HER. Good luck!

Offer her some mints! - someone else said that too!

If she smokes that could be the problem.

If she's eating bad food - eating parsley helps.

Get her to go to the dentist with you - you can tell her you'd feel a lot better if she went in first.

Good luck....

eating fresh parsley will naturally freshen breath.....there are lots of nice ways to tell people things they don't want to hear, but I can't think of any that will get a good reaction. But, it's better to tell her than to have her not know....just have to decide what's more important.....momentarily bruising her ego or lying to her so that you won't hurt her feelings. Good luck.
