you know, if you are in school. stay. even with a ged you will feel better about yourself. I have a ged and its harder than a diploma because you have 4 years to goof off and still pass with a good grade. You have to sit in a boring room for hours! trying to remember how to do stuff that you learned and figure out stuff that you dont. have fun. be young. dont make a mistake like i did.

I am sure they give diploma's in charter schools I think it is the experience of going to high school and graduating with your classmates but a GED works too....

I have a GED and believe me as hard as I worked for it I really think people approve of the diploma more. People assume many things about you once they are aware that you do not have a diploma....even thought my test scores for the GED all were 90% or better people don't listen long enough to realize that, they hear "GED" and tune me out, or dismiss me as uneducated.
In reality...had I applied myself in high school I could easily been valedictorian. No I'm not bragging, I took the SAT tests in 6th grade and scored higher than most college bound seniors. Until 11th grade I was in honors classes. What happened? Anxiety disorder and panic attacks...I ended up skipping many of my classes because I couldn't stand to be in the room.I blew it.
If you do indeed have the opportunity to receive a diploma, rather than the GED, I urge you to take it. It doesn't seem like much but a piece of paper now, but you WILL be judged throughout your life by this.

The GED is the same as a high school diploma. Actually they say that the GED is slightly harder than the regular high school test and that those who graduated high school cannot pass the GED. You can go to college after getting a GED.

They give you the end result, the diploma. The difference between the 2 is you were brave enough to finish where you left off. I applaud anyone who goes to get their GED.

I don't think so, but I guess it depends on the high school you graduate from.
