I just signed with Country Bunny Bath and Body products! If you don't know who they are, you should. They sell very high-quality lotions, soaps and relaxing spa products. I am in training and will be doing my first party in a couple weeks. I am not a fashion expert and I don't like to dress up. I am a college student who doesnt mind going to class in sweat pants. What are some essential pieces I need in my closet to mix and match to be more mature and professional looking when presenting this product in front of other women?

I work with individuals to job search and interview so I might be of assistance. I would suggest that since you want the focus to be on the products you are selling that you wear basic colors - brown, black, or navy. Black is the most versatile so I would probably go black pants and find professional looking tops that you could mix and match. Make sure you have a nice looking pair of shoes - you'd be surprised how much people notice shabby looking shoes. Clothes do not have to be expensive, just fit well. Also, I would avoid appearing overly sexy - if you are selling to women you don't want to appear to be competition. Just some hints - I wish you all the best in your new endeavor!

I would advise that you hit the Gap. A pair of boot cut, ironed Khakis and a black turtle neck with black boots is an essential staple for my closet. You can invest in some inexpensive jewelry and then add to the color dimension with sweaters or scarves. I worked in a professional office for 10 years and I wore a suit maybe twice. I just think pants are sharp and the Gap has clothing that is compatible with each other. Plus for being a college student you could do so much for so little cost, no one is going to blame you for not being dressed in Dior. Just be sure that if you are going to be in someones home putting on a party, that you don't look as nice as the host. Kinda like at a wedding you don't want to out do the bride. For etiquette purposes, keep it simple. Best of luck on your new endeavor!!

I think buy two basic trousers black and brown, nice shirts and throw on top a really cute vest on top. Buy two different vest and three blouses. Mix-n-match.
And for shoes I dont recommend u using high heels nor flip flpos, go for a round close shoe with a small heel, just make sure you tailor the trousers to the size of the heel.
In this link below you can find just the look dont and get me wrong those colors and the leght of the vest are not my favorite but just for you to get the idea.

First you need a fitted pair of khakis and a fitted pair of black pants. Then, you just need a few nice blouses. Button down shirts are good, shrugs are good voer tanktops, the knitted sweaters that are in style now look good over tanks. You also need to get a pair of brown, black, and white heels or flats that are kind of universal with your wardrobe!

My situation is similar to yours. I sell Mary Kay, and I dont know about your company, but MK encourages the sales force to wear skirts and nylons.
To be versatile without breaking the bank, you can have just one or two suits, and I think its really cute to wear a suit jacket with no shirt under it, just a very cute necklace. I love how it looks and I get so many compliments
