He is good but not in the top 10. I also agree with the post about Highway Star - great rips! There are many more above him in terms of sheer talent and instinct that have already been mentioned - Jimi ( that damn guitar was strung upside down!), Jimmy, Clapton, Carlos, Eddie, Mark Knofpler (spelling) - and that is just from the modern generation.

ritchie blackmore brian may angus young joe satriani steve vai santana gary moore and jimmy page and yes i also agree with the answer about highway star that guitar solo is kickass oh yeah and we cant forget ian moss and eddie van halen
