on the credits of starfox assault, on the cast, it shows andross (played by someone). was this a mistake or have i not completely finished the game?

Starfox Assault never includes Andross himself. He is not seen at any point nor is he confronted. That said, the first boss is Andrew Oiknny, Andross' Nephew. Also, in the first level the fleet that you are destroying is the remnants of Andross' army from Starfox64.
While I have not personally sat through the credits, I'm fairly certain that if Andross is mentioned, it must either be in the context of "Andross' Nephew" or "Remnants from Andross' Army". Other than that, Andross is not in Starfox Assault, and if he is in the credits it may well just be an easter-egg or a bug.
