I like A-line strapless dresses. They are flattering. I am very slim and every mermaid dress I tried made me look like I had huge hips. But honestly, try one dress in each shape first. You'll then see which shapes are the most flattering for your body type. Once you know that, you can start really searching for the perfect dress. Congrats on your future wedding!

I think mermaid dresses are gorgeous, feminine, flattering, and perfect for a formal wedding. As for the veil, it depends on the dress. If you have a strapless dress and want to show off your shoulders/back, a short veil looks really good.

Mine was an A-Line style, with spaghetti straps. It had embroidery in the front, around the bottom and on the train. The veil was about to the lower back and had a similar style of embroidery. It was beautiful.
But the best wedding dress is something the bride loves and she looks her very best in it. I just love them all. Veils, however, look silly when they are so long they drag on the floor. They are meant to symbolize purity, and it sends a bad message when it is dragged through the dirty floor

You remember Beauty and the Beast? I like the cut of Belle's dress the best. My own had a similar cut, although the skirt wasn't as full. So pretty!

oh I loove the mermaid look is really romantic and femenine just imagine if you have big hips they will be disguied with the end, and if you dont have butt nor hips the dress itself creates a womanly siluete.
