No the alleged crimes are bunk. They would not hold up as they are not true. How about the "new Congress" get busy and keep their campaign promises? That's right, they made none and you all put them in any way. Good work! Not.

The constitution says that congress has the power to impeach a president for "high crimes and misdemeanors." So if they think Bush has committed even a misdemeanor, they have the authority to impeach him. (All impeachment is, is the trial. If, after hearing all the evidence and making all the arguments, they find him guilty, then he has to leave office.) This is why, despite congress actually impeaching Clinton, he did not leave office. At the end of the day they found him innocent.

But the new congress will not impeach Bush. Impeachment happens in the House of Representatives, and the incoming speaker has said that impeachment will not be on the table.

Impeach is the process of putting him on trial for high crimes and misdemeanors. If you can put Clinton on trial for having an affair I should think you could put Bush on trial for out and out lying about the weapons of mass destruction

for one thing, he hasn't done anything wrong, therefore congress can't really impeach him. They have to commit a serious crime in order to be impeached, and if they do, then its up to congress to decide whether the person should stay in office or be out. Look at Clinton, he was impeached but was still in office.

Of course they do. All that's lacking is the will. The Democrats won't do it because Bush is too pro-Jewish to be impeached.

Congress has the legal right to impeach.

But I don't think they will unless a serious crime has been committed.
