in the book eldest does murtagh die because everybody says that he dies. i need to know because i cant live if i dont please tell me
also who thinks that the person who plays murtagh in the movie(Garrett Hedlund) is cute?

ok,
the twins mind controled the urgals that killed agahad or w/e his name was and they kidnapped murtagh and bled him and took him to the evil guys city and made him swear in ancient elf language that he would stay loyal to the evil dude and then later eragon and saphira get into a fight with murtagh and his dragon thorn(murtagh's a dragon rider) and they both live but eragon loses his sword becuz murtagh says" the eldest should have it" (brothers?)
