Absolutely Apple. Macs cost less in the long run because they have better quality. Everything works together on a Mac, so you can spend your time using the computer instead of working to get it working.

They're also much more secure, so you're far less likely to suffer from viruses or identity theft - no surreptitious keystroke loggers.

I would go with Apple, you see it has a slick look to it and had good quality. Even though dell is cheaper my friends and I have had bad experience with dell especially with the laptops.

Dell is garbage and Apple is overpriced..
I say do a little research and build your own.
It's quite simple really and you get what you want in it and not a bunch of crap you don't.
